Many oem stud / nut combinations use two different metals and after repeated heat cycles the stud and nut expand and contract at a different rate and end up seizing and breaking easy when it comes time to removing the parts.
ARP's stud / nut combination is a great way to combat this issue as the studs and nuts are made in the same stainless steel material to expand and contract at the same rate.
