C.A.R.B. and E.P.A. InformationIf you are experiencing surging with your stock wastegate solenoid or you are planning on calibrating your ECU (tuning), our suggestion is to upgrade your stock wastegate solenoid to a Pierburg Solenoid that operates at a higher efficiency and speed (not applicable on 2019+ VT).
This Pierburg Solenoid is a much faster operating valve that will help eliminate fluttering and surging. If you are sporting an upgraded ECU Calibration or a big turbo, you can still retain factory operation without worry.
The Pierburg is a direct solenoid operated 3-way poppet valve. It features a short stroke solenoid, a balanced poppet and powerful return spring. These features translate into high shifting forces, fast consistent response times, and long life.
When the stock valve is retained on the vehicle it can cause a surging effect in boost with an upgraded ECU or turbocharger. Changing to a Pierburg Solenoid will eliminate this effect and smooth your boost curve.
