so in 2019 SEMA show was cancelled last minute due to the pandemic.
In 2020, we came out swinging with the brand new 2020 Ford Explorer Limited Hybrid. This time we took the name Explorer and let our imagination run with it.
Our concept was to build a family SUV that really can explore!
So lets start off by showing you our concept rendering
So as you can deduce from the rendering, the vehicle was all about exploring the winter months and also enjoying winter sports (Snowboarding) with the family.
Up top of the vehicle, we had a custom set of BTR snowboards built by Blanksnowboards.com held by the Yakima snowboard carrier
We had built a custom front suspension leveling spacer and fitted new Ace Alloy Wheels wrapped in Toyo Tires ATii tires. The whole vehicle was covered in Lumar Paint Protection Film that turned the paint into a matte finish. This allowed for the vehicle to be driven through rough country areas without the worry for damaging the beautiful paint underneath. The matte finish also gave it a very rugged look while keeping a luxurious sheen.
The Limited Hybrid also featured a lot of chrome accents which were all blacked out in order to finish off the more sporty / rugged look. The we finished off the outside with a 50" curved light bar from Rigid mounted on the roof.
Vehicle also was shown off at the 2019 LA Auto Show and 2020 Chicago Auto Show in the Ford booth and helped draw in tons of crowds
